Angra dos Reis – Revamped v2.0
Description
This is a revamp of the first map I published based on Angra dos Reis, a Brazilian municipality located in the south of the state of Rio de Janeiro. It includes oil, new custom water mechanics, weather adjustments, and more improvements from the patch that came with the B&P DLC. (No DLC required to play this map!)
The map features dozens of islands and valleys, with kilometers of rivers and spaces for beaches. Surrounded by mountains, the scenery was created to be used with the theme of the same name, also available in its revamped version on PDXMods (Angra Revamped Map Theme – Paradox Mods).
One of the starting areas is near the edge of the map, where the only nuclear power plants in South America are located. The rectangular shape fits perfectly with a nuclear power plant from the base game.
The only land connection is the Rio-Santos highway (BR 101), which delineates the mountains and the coastline. This is a challenging map, with many inclines, but with enough space to build if you respect the scenery.
With the B&P expansion, you can also expand using ferries and strategically located ports to form internal logistics routes between your towns.
The map is not a 1:1 scale version of the region, but it was created at the ideal scale to take full advantage of the scenery.
