Cliffs and Rocks Pack v3.0
Have you ever wished the steep terrain in and around your city was a bit more realistic? Have you ever wanted a small bluff or perhaps the cliffs of Moher? I have the perfect (well by CS2 standards) solution for you!
This is a pack of 6 Cliff and rock pieces. 1 Regular sized Cliff ~100m, 1 Tall Cliff ~180m, 1 Large Boulder, 1 Seastack / Rock Spire, and a Right and Left Sloped section of cliff face.
To use these I highly suggest watching this: https://youtu.be/m8EmRs7DHRs (Apologies, its my first Youtube video and there is a lot of room for improvement). You will need Move It and Anarchy to enjoy using these.
– Find them under Nature props.
– Make your cliff with the standard terrain tools, the sharper the better.
– Place the cliff pieces generally in place but don’t worry about getting anything perfect.
– Grab a piece of cliff with move it and maneuver it into position so that the grass section of the cliff flows into the grass of the terrain at the top of the cliff.
– Now grab your other cliff pieces and using the move it tools align their heights to that first piece of cliff you have in place.
– Position your other cliff pieces into place, don’t be too precise you can be very haphazard and get a more ogranic result.
– Speaking of getting more organic results, because of the way the cliffs are made, you can have them go around corners or form big jut outs from the main wall if you play around a bit. Also once you get the hang of the flat pieces you can give the sloped pieces a try and really create some naturally looking terrain!
– Clean them up a bit now with the terrain tools and bring the terrain up to the ledge of the cliffs. This part can be tricky, but you get the hang of it really fast! Volchoria Map Theme 4k if you want to use a custom terrain because it uses the appropriate Normal maps. This also makes the cliff and dirt areas look way better and is the terrain theme I used in the video above.
– Finally have fun and place some rocks and spires to really spruce the cliffs up.
I may make some additional pieces in the future, but due to game limitations and the way these work I can’t for example change the texture of the grass at the top or make them resizable, draggable, etc. You however can accomplish a great deal with these!
